Jon Stewart Rips Donald Trump a New One Over His Questionable Pizza Choices

Yes, we all love to make fun of The Donald. But Jon Stewart’s nearly-eight-minute-long tirade on last night’s episode of The Daily Show takes the cake (um, pie?) when it comes to Trump dressing-downs. - villagevoicemedia

This weekend was spent 100% in Brooklyn and I have come to one conclusion: I must move to Carroll Gardens (even though Meredith isn’t there anymore).

it’s the best ‘hood in brooklyn.

I, too, literally never left Brooklyn this weekend. Cobble Hill (near CG) hell yeah!

Brooklyn’s in the house! Via The Seattle Times:
“…Mitch Davie, center right, of Brooklyn, N.Y., makes a one-handed catch of a flying bat off the swing of Atlanta Braves second baseman Dan Uggla.”
And reportedly does not spill his Red Stripe. -A.P.

What a guy.

I’m finally just getting to this, since it took way too long for the city to get online. But, may I please take a moment of your time to draw your attention to the New York City Board of Elections’ certified results for the 2010 election of Kings County’s 53rd Assembly Member? The Democratic front-runner was a well-documented sleazeball named Vito Lopez. His district? Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a pretty obvious Democratic stronghold, so of course, despite all of the corruption surrounding his reign (of which also entails his adventures as Brooklyn’s Democratic Party boss), he was easily elected. And yet, a few people voiced their dissent with their own write-in votes:
Alec Baldwin
Anyone Else
Ernest Hemingway
Jennifer Lopez
Jon Stewart
Lincoln Restler (Sorry: Wrong election, but right idea.)
Mickey Mouse
I was one of these write-in ballots, though I went a slightly different direction: While not a resident of Kings County, he is still - far more than Vito Lopez, certainly - a viable candidate for office in Brooklyn, or any borough. God Save the Boss.

Look, I slept on the floor of a Williamsburg loft with 2 lesbians for 6 weeks in 1995. I am Too Damn Qualified.

I’ve always preferred, “Brooklyneer”

because it sounds more independent and mobile, less like a mineral. Initial readings indicate high levels of Brooklynite, so we should keep our helmets on.

But whatever I’ll take it.
